SDRL teamed up with NCeSPA (National Collegiate eSports Association) to run a 3v3 Rocket League tournament at their community event called the SoCal Showdown at Esports Arena in Santa Ana. It was the first non-BYOC tournament run, and players got to enjoy the relative ease of only packing their controllers with them instead of their PCs, monitors, and peripherals. It was also the first tournament SDRL ran using smash.gg, which offered great team registration tools, match lobbies, and score reporting that made a wholly better experience for players and TOs alike.

Rocket League 3v3 @ LanDiego State 5

SDRL teamed up with LanDiego to present a 3v3 Rocket League LAN tournament at LanDiego State 5. The prize pool was nearly $800 in cash, and 16 teams competed for the lion's share of it. Despite an unfortunate timing conflict with the later-announced RLCS Open Qualifier #1, teams managed to play both their RLCS matches and tournament matches.
